This custom approach considers an individual’s style and preferences to create jewellery they will both cherish and enjoy wearing. The joy of jewellery is that it can be tailored to any budget, with choices available from a range of precious metals, gemstones, and finishes, to create the desired look.
At Woo by Design, my aim is to create beautiful, bespoke jewellery for you which is high quality and custom-made to your budget without compromising on finish or design. A ring could be handcrafted with a silver shank holding a moissanite solitaire setting, or in platinum with a diamond. Both stunning, but with contrasting costs attached. There are many different options to consider which compliment a range of budgets.
If you have any unwanted jewellery in gold, silver, or platinum, this can be used as part or whole of the finished piece. Precious metal prices fluctuate and costs can be considerably reduced if you are able to repurpose another piece of jewellery. Mixing metals within designs also provides different effects, and can enhance the overall look. Introducing finishes to the metal can also create embellishment and extra detail.
The choice of gemstones will also impact the overall cost of a design. Traditional precious gems (diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and sapphires) usually come to mind. But there are other choices, which can offer the same or even a superior finish. For example, emeralds, popular for their vibrant green colour, are actually a less durable option and prone to scratching and fragility. A possible alternative is tsavorites. These are rarer, offer more clarity and sturdiness, and are more affordable.
Choosing bespoke also offers you greater freedom over the design. You may have a concept you wish to explore, or a long-lost piece of jewellery you want to recreate. The bespoke journey always begins with a collaborative process to develop ideas and bring them to life.
